K42 Base Features
Rather than doing another run of the existing K42, we decided to redesign the PC board and add some improvements. The first is a software controlled backlit display. The second is a much improved CW reader. We retained the small, efficient package and all of the K42's standard features. We are buying parts for a kit run now and expect enclosures the second week of February. Unless we run into problems, kits will ship the first week of March, sorry no advance orders. Kit pricing is $99 for the enclosure, backlit LCD, CW Reader, and high voltage solid state keying relay. US shipping is $6.85 for USPS Priority Mail.

CW Reader Features
There is only one version of the K42 kit which includes the main PC board and parts, backlit LCD display, enclosure, and CW reader. For those who want to run the K42 as a CW keyboard in transmit mode only, the CW Reader can be turned off.
